This page is just to give you general information about our
puppies, policies, and adoption requirements.  We hope that
this will answer some of your questions, and if you have
questions that are not answered here, please feel free to ask!

Our dogs are a very important part of our family, and are
treated as such.  All of our adult dogs are obedience trained,
and well socialized. All of our puppies are raised in our home,
with our adult Danes and our young daughter.

How old are your puppies when you let them go home?
We let our puppies go home anytime after 8 weeks old, and
after being examined and deemed healthy and free of internal
parasites from our veterinarian.

What vaccines have your puppies had before they leave your
home?
Our puppies are given their first puppy shot just before they
turn 8 weeks old.  We believe in limited vaccines, as their
immune systems are still immature, and they still have most of
their mother's antibodies at this young age. They will be given
a ProGard Puppy - DPV, which is for distemper and
parvovirus. We NEVER give large combo vaccines, and
request that our new puppy parents will follow our vaccination
schedule.

What is the price of our puppies?
Our pet/companion puppy prices start at $1,000 and up.  This
is generally for merles, blacks w/ white markings, pet marked
mantles, and whites
.  Companion puppies come with a
mandatory spay / neuter contract.
Show marked puppies start
at $1,500 and up.  These prices are for limited AKC registration
and spay/neuter contracts. Show / breeding potential puppies
start at $1,800 and up.

What is the amount and type of deposit for your puppies?
Deposits are 1/3 of the purchase price of the puppy, and is
payable by postal money order, or a certified cashier's check.
Any personal checks will be returned! ALL deposits are
NON-refundable. Once we have a verbal agreement on a
puppy, we will place the puppy on hold for 5 days for the
deposit to arrive, after which time, if the deposit does not
arrive, the puppy will once again, be available to other homes

What is the difference between AKC limited, and AKC full
registration?
AKC limited registration is for puppies that will not be
participating in the conformation ring, and puppies that will
not be bred.  Puppies placed on limited AKC registration are
required to be spayed/neutered by the time they are one year
old. Most of our puppies are placed in their new homes with
AKC limited registration.  Puppies with AKC limited registration
are still eligible to participate in Obedience trials and rally.

AKC full registration allows dogs to participate in the breed
ring competition, and puppies from their litters can be
registered with AKC.  We may require a co-ownership with
puppies placed on AKC full registration.

What guarantee do you offer with your puppies?
ALL of our puppies come with a 36 month health guarantee,
that covers any dibilitating genetic or congenital defects. In
the event that a problem does occur, we offer a replacement
puppy from our next available litter.

What training will our puppy have when he/she comes home?
By 8 weeks old, your puppy will have a good start to potty
training. They will be taught NOT to jump up on people, to go
up and down stairs, to accept the crate as a familiar place, and
will have been socialized around other people, including adults
and small children, socialized around other dogs, cats, and
horses.

Can you have my puppy cropped before I pick him/her up at an
additional costs?
No, we no longer offer ear cropping before our puppies go
home. This is a personal decision for the owner, and I will be
happy to help find a qualified vet in your area that specializes
in ear crops, but we will no longer crop before puppies go
home.  Taping ears involves a lot of work, and nothing is
worse than cropped ears that do not stand. It is also risky to
put such a young puppy under anesthesia, and this is a risk
you will take.

Will you ship your puppies since it's too far to drive?
We prefer not to ship our puppies, though we will ship puppies
on occasion. The shipping is at the buyer's expense, and
usually runs $300-$350. We ship with Delta Pet First or
Continental Airlines.  Buyer is responsible for the cost of the
crate and health certificate as well.
